Accommodation & Facilities

The accommodation we offer is spread over two linked large houses (Augustine 1 & 2), comprising of 13 single en-suite rooms, and 2 double en-suite room, four of the single rooms are accessible by a lift. All the bedrooms are in easy reach of a Tea Station, for the use of Resident guests only. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms within the houses.

There is a large dining room which seats 25 people, with further seating for 6 in a small dining room.

The Meeting Room has seating for a maximum of 20 people. It has a screen, a projector stand and free-standing lighting should a warmer ambience be required for evening meetings. Flip charts are also available.

Our Chapel is multi-functional and can be re-arranged to accommodate a larger group for Workshops, Yoga, Mindfulness Meditations or Group Conferences.

Complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits are provided for day groups.

We also have: a Sitting Room with a TV; Reading Room; small Library/sitting room with a TV; a Meeting Room; Rooms for 1-1 meetings during Retreats and an Art Room.

The garden is for the use of all guests and retreatants, with seating in parts to enjoy tranquillity and peace away from the busy-ness of life. Within the garden is a wild flower garden that attracts many butterflies and bees. There is also a small Labyrinth for personal or group use.

All meals are fresh and home cooked. We also cater for any special dietary requirements.

There is a free on-site car parking area and street parking.

St. Augustine’s Priory, House of Prayer is situated close to the sea front, a 2 minute walk away for guests to enjoy the spectacular coastal views and the sounds of the sea. There is a public sensory garden 2 minutes away and other pleasant parks close by. Many places of interest are accessible by car, bus or train.
